Thread
If you are having a top quilted then the thread is included in the cost. I use YLI threads and have over 70 colours to choose from or please feel free to bring your own thread but it must be 100% cotton for machine quilting. If you are quilting your own tops then you can purchase the thread at a cost of £5 a reel of 500m.
Wadding
I have a small supply of waddings including
sew simple - cotton - 90” wide.
sew simple - 100% polyester - 90" wide
Hobbs polydown - 100% polyester - 102" wide - wonderful for hand or machine quilting
Hobbs Heirloom - 80% cotton 20% polyester - 90" wide
Soft and Bright - 100% polyester - 120" wide
Warm and Natural - 100% cotton - 120" wide
Soft and Natural - 100% cotton - 120" wide
Warm Blend - 50% cotton/50% polyester - 90" wide
For a greener option I am trialling 2 alternatives, one bamboo and the other made from recycled plastic, if successful I will offer these options in the future.
Backing Fabrics
I have a small number of backing fabrics which are 108” wide, removing the need for joining, in a choice of colours eg cream, white on white, sand, deep red, green marble, blue marble and chocolate.
Patchwork supplies
Needles, hand and machine; Rotary Cutters, boards and rulers; Marking tools and a small amount of fabrics and jelly rolls.
Please note that if you wish to purchase, thread wadding or backing fabrics, other than when I am quilting your tops or any of the other supplies, we do not have a shop and ask that you call us before visiting to ensure that we are at the studio.
